Dalljiet Kaur’s husband Nikhil Patel has broken his silence on the infidelity accusation made by the actress and has blamed her for their separation
Television actress Dalljiet Kaur left her fans shocked by taking taking to her official social media handles to accuse her husband Nikhil Patel of infidelity. Ever since her shocking revelations have been making the headlines, the estranged husband is being bashed left, right, and center. Now, in a recentl interview he has broken his silence on the matter and blamed the Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? actress for their separation. He has also stated their wedding wasn’t legally binding and that it was just to pacify his in-laws over Dalljiet’s move to Kenya.
Shedding light on the 41-year-old actress’ decision to return to India along with her son Jaydon, the Kenya-based businessman revealed that she found it “challenging to adjust.” In an interview with ETimes, he added, “We both realized that the foundation of our blended family wasn’t as strong as we had hoped, making it hard for Dalljiet to settle in Kenya.”
Patel explained that they hosted their wedding ceremony in March 2023, to reassured Dalljiet's family about her move to Kenya. While the ceremony held “cultural significance, it was not legally binding.” He went on to express, “Dalljiet found it challenging to adjust to life in Kenya, missing her career and life in India. The complexities of our family dynamics became increasingly apparent.”
Reacting to the cheating allegations made by Dalljiet, he said, “Her departure marked the end of our relationship for me, and despite her concerning social media activity over the past five months, I have found closure and solace, moving forward positively. However, Dalljiet’s recent assumptions and impulsive posts on social media have caused confusion and distress among those around me. She has expressed a desire to return to my life and has crossed boundaries. Her posts have been misinterpreted, resulting in unnecessary harassment of family and friends unrelated to this situation. I hope she stops this behaviour.”
Concluding the interview he stated that would rather sit with his estranged wife and sort out all the misunderstandings as her wants to set the record straight for everyone involved in the matter.
For the unversed, Dalljiet Kaur found love in Nikhil Patel after divorcing her ex-husband Shalin Bhanot in 2015.
